BIAF2024, its 26th edition, has opened submissions for international competition on March 20. BIAF International Competition has 16 categories for feature and short film awards, with the biggest ever total prize money of $46,000(KRW 61 million). Submissions are limited to animation works completed after January 1, 2023.

The deadline for entry is June 30 for Shorts(Short, Student, TV&Commissioned, Korean Short) and July 31 for feature films. BIAF is an Academy Awards® Qualifying Festival. BIAF Grand Prize will be eligible for consideration in the Animated Short Film category of the Academy Awards®.

Application for entry is available via BIAF official website(www.biaf.or.kr) and FIlmFreeway (www.filmfreeway.com/biaf). The short film selection list will be announced on the BIAF official website in August, and the feature film selection list will be released at the press conference in September.

The 26th Bucheon International Animation Festival(BIAF2024) will take place from October 25 to 29.
