Nausicaä Of The Valley Of The Wind is a feature-length animated film directed by Miyazaki Hayao and Suzuki Toshio, based on the manga of the same name serialized in the magazine Animage before the founding of Studio Ghibli. In an apocalyptic world where the poisonous forest "Sea of Corruption" coexist, the giant insects ‘Ohmu’, and humanity's ultimate weapon, the ‘God Soldier’, coexist, Nausicaä, princess of the Valley of the Wind, seeks to prevent war and bring reconciliation between humanity and nature. The Ohmu, as guardians of the forest, communicate with Nausicaä, while the God Soldier stands as a remnant of a past war and a symbol of destruction. The elaborate artwork and symbolic scenes simultaneously portray the grandeur and menace of nature, while Nausicaä's dedication and leadership emphasize the values of the environment and peace.
